Territory Vascular is Closing as of 1 July 2024
NEW REFERRALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME
Unfortunately due to a combination of multiple factors beyond his control Mark Hamilton will be closing private practice and will stop accepting new referrals as of 1 July 2024.
He will be returning to full time public practice at the Royal Darwin Hospital and will continue to provide a vascular surgery service to the people of the NT.
All current arterial patients will be referred onwards to the public hospital for ongoing care with the team at Royal Darwin Hospital.
All new arterial referrals will be triaged and sent on to the public hospital to be seen within the national triage guideline timeframe.
Venous patients who currently have surgery planned will undergo their planned operation.
Patients who are currently booked until the end of September will be seen over the next 2 months.
All incoming venous referrals will be returned to the referrer with advice to refer to Dr. Richard Harris (Vascular Surgeon) Phone: 02-9477 7177 who is a visiting venous practitioner based in Sydney, or onwards to any of the numerous general surgeons who perform venous surgery in the private sector.
Venous patients with CEAP 4 or above venous disease (skin change, haemosiderosis, lipodermatosclerosis or eczema, ulceration or healed ulcers) may be referred to the public sector. Cosmetic veins and spider veins will not be treated in the public sector.
AFTER 1 AUGUST ALL NEW REFERRALS WILL BE RETURNED TO THE REFERRING PRACTITIONER WITH ADVICE ON WHERE TO REFER THEM.
